Product Description

An Ayyubid prince, son of Saladin’s brother Nur Al-Din Shahanshah, Al-Muzaffar was trained from his youth for a role of responsibility. Subsequent the Ayyubid conquest of Syria, Saladin named Al-Muzzafar as the sovereign of Ayyubid Mesopotamia.
Al-Adil Saphadin, Saladin’s brother and deputy ruler, was deeply involved in the battle with the Crusaders in the Transjordan. When Al-Adil had to return to Egypt, Al-Muzaffar was appointed to Al-Adil’s leadership post.
Serving Saladin in several battlefields, including Damascus and Hattin, Al-Muzaffar died during the Siege of Seljuck-held Manzikert in 1191.
